Main Art is a non-profit organization in Taiwan founded by Alice Chang in 2011. Main Art’s mission is to bridge between cultures through music, theatre, dance and visual arts. By creating productions, exhibitions, concerts and interdisciplinary arts collaborations, Main Art produces and brings cultural awareness to an international stage.
Main Art has produced internationally acclaimed productions. In 2012, Main Art produced the concert Wu Man and Aboriginal Friends, which premiered at the National Concert Hall in Taiwan, as one of the nineteen main international programs for “2012 Taiwan International Festival of the Arts”. In 2013, Main Art was invited to create Love, Paiwan Tribe a musical journey with Paiwan Tribe for “Orient – International Festival of Oriental Music” in Tallinn, Estonia. In 2014, Voices – A Festival of Song in Esplanade, Singapore, invited Main Art to create and produce the concert Harmony of Nature by Bunun Mountain Traditional Music Chorus and Cellist Annie Chang.
我們的宗旨是搭起跨領域的橋樑，促進不同文化、種族與藝術之間的交流。讓更多藝術與文化素材，以富有原生感動力且精緻化的展演型式，發揚國際。蠻藝術的專業管理，是採用專案技術與流程，並整合產業知識，協助各類藝術展演活動的製作。期待能為各類藝文團體找出一條兼顧藝術創作，並發揮現有資源最大效益的運作模式。
自成立以來，《蠻藝術》一步一腳印，於2012年成功製作執行「吳蠻與原住民音樂會─世界首演」；該音樂會被榮選為兩廳院25週年的「臺灣國際藝術節(TIFA)」十九檔世界重量級演出團體之一。2013年受邀參與愛沙尼亞之東方音樂節，全新編排推出「愛戀．排灣」音樂劇。新加坡濱海藝術中心舉辦的 2014年「聲樂藝術節 (Voices, A Festival of Song)」邀請《蠻藝術》策劃承辦三場「渾然天成-布農與大提琴傳說」音樂會和一場工作坊，受到當地觀眾熱烈迴響。
《蠻藝術》目前以發掘有潛力的臺灣演藝團體，協助其進行國際文化交流為主。並希望透過專業的團隊，有效整合資源，將臺灣的藝術音樂以精緻且具國際水準的方式，呈現於世界舞臺。
